About this retreat
A 7-day immersive acting retreat designed to help performers unlock emotional truth, physical freedom, and authentic presence. Led by world-renowned acting coaches Jean-Louis Rodrigue and Kristof Konrad, this program blends character embodiment, movement practices, somatic awareness, breathwork, and creative exploration. Set on Italys Coast of the Gods, the retreat invites actors to deepen their craft through daily workshops, reflective exercises, and local experiences that nurture clarity, expression, and artistic confidence.
THE MENTORS:
Jean-Louis Rodrigue and Kristof Konrad are internationally known as two of the most sought after acting & character movement coaches, collectively teaching the Alexander Technique and character movement in theater, film, television, and beyond.
JEAN LOUIS RODRIGUE
Jean-Louis Rodrigue is an acting & character movement coach, expert in the Alexander Technique. For over 45 years he has worked professionally in Los Angeles and New York in theatre, film and TV. He has worked on major films such as Life of Pi, I, Tonya, Vice, Barbie, and Everything Everywhere All at Once. He teaches at the UCLA and leads masterclasses at the Berlinale Talents.
KRISTOF KONRAD
Born in Poland, Kristof Konrad is an actor, acting coach, breath and voice coach, character movement coach, teacher of the Alexander Technique. For over 24 years, he has successfully worked as an actor. His film and TV credits include House of Cards, Scandal, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Unit, and Hotel Artemis. He teaches at leading acting conservatories across Europe and the U.S.

This actors retreat is set along the stunning Tyrrhenian coast of Calabria, also known as the Coast of the Gods, where steep white cliffs plunge into turquoise waters and hidden coves were once believed to be the Home of the Gods.
Just minutes from Tropea, named Borgo dei Borghi 2021 and celebrated as the Pearl of the Tyrrhenian, the town enchants visitors with golden sunsets over Stromboli volcano and vibrant yet authentic southern Italian charm.
Its scenery has served as a cinematic backdrop, attracting international productions including Marvel Studios The Marvels (2023).

Comfortable clothing for movement and workshops, layers for coastal evenings, swimwear, and any scripts or material you'd like to work on during 1:1 coaching. A notebook for reflection is invaluable. Full list shared after booking.
Can you accommodate dietary requirements?
Yes. Our chef caters to gluten-free, lactose-free, keto, vegan, vegetarian, nut-free, and sugar-free diets, using local organic produce. Please let us know at booking.
Who attends this retreat?
Serious actors at intermediate to professional level, typically in their 30s to 60s, from theatre, film and TV backgrounds. Group capacity is 20, which keeps mentorship from Jean-Louis and Kristof personal.
How do I get to the venue?
The retreat is at Infinity Resort Tropea on Italy's Coast of the Gods. The closest airport is Lamezia Terme (around 1 hour by car); airport transfers can be arranged. Detailed travel guidance shared after booking.
What's the cancellation policy?
The 10% booking deposit through The Good Index is non-refundable. The remaining 90% is refundable if cancelled more than 60 days before start. Inside 60 days, the place is transferable but non-refundable.
