Payment Terms
At The Good Index, we believe booking a retreat should feel as good as the retreat itself —
simple, secure, and stress-free. Here’s how our payment process works:
Summary
- 10% deposit secures your booking (non-refundable).
- Remaining balance due 7 days after deposit.
- Full payment required for bookings within 14 days of retreat.
- Afterpay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay available.
- Each retreat has its own cancellation policy for the remaining balance.
Deposit to Secure Your Spot - When booking more than 14 days before your retreat starts, you’ll pay just a 10% deposit upfront.
- This deposit secures your spot instantly — and helps your retreat host prepare for your arrival.
- Note: All deposits made through The Good Index are non-refundable, as they reserve limited spaces on retreats.
Final Payment
- The remaining 90% of your retreat package cost is due 7 days after your deposit is paid.
- This amount is paid directly to your retreat host, who will email you with final payment instructions.
- Some hosts may offer payment plans, bank transfer, or in-person payment options. These vary by retreat and are managed directly by the host.
Last-Minute Bookings - If you book a retreat 14 days or fewer before the start date, full payment is due upfront at the time of booking.
- This ensures fast confirmation and helps hosts accommodate late bookings.
Cancellations & Refunds
- The 10% deposit paid through The Good Index is non-refundable.
- Each retreat host sets their own cancellation and refund policy for the remaining balance.
- We strongly recommend reviewing the retreat’s cancellation terms (listed on their retreat page) before booking.
- Consider taking out travel insurance for added peace of mind.
Payment Types Accepted
To make payment easy, we support:
- Credit & Debit Cards.
- Apple Pay & Google Pay.
- Afterpay (where available – great for flexible, interest-free instalments)
All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
