The retreat offers an indulgent couples escape with private and unique luxury lodge accommodation – Air Lodge is a timber Mongolian yurt in a garden by the stream, Earth House is on the ridge with breath-taking vistas of Mt Warning and Water Lodge is a Japanese prayer house by the waterfall and lake. Each lodge features an outdoor spa bath, fireplace for cosy winter nights, air conditioning, kitchenette, BBQ and plush furnishings.

The retreat is located at the base of Wollumbin, the first part of Australia to be touched by the new days sunlight. It is a stunning rock formation created 20 million years ago by a now extinct massive volcano.

Offerings

The following optional extras can be added to your stay at Wollumbin, either in the privacy and comfort of your lodge or an outside, picturesque location on the property.:

Massage – All massages are done one at a time except for the Couples Pamper Massage. The retreat offers an hour relaxation massage or couples pamper massage, which includes a wonderful one hour relaxation massage together in your lodge, then retreat to your spa which will be run for you and lit with tealight candles. A bottle of bubbly, and strawberries with dipping chocolate are included to complete the experience.

Yoga – Couples Yoga sessions are available in the privacy of your own lodge or outside on the property, for both beginners and intermediate couples. With this one hour yoga session you will be shown how to stretch your way to health and flexibility together.

Meditation – Experience a beautiful and relaxing hour meditation session in the privacy of your own lodge or a beautiful spot by the creek, just the two of you together. Be guided on a blissful journey by an experienced meditation teacher whose aim is to show you how simple it is to develop this ritual in your own life together.

Luxury Lodge – Your individual lodge accommodation at Wollumbin Palms Rainforest Retreat offers complete privacy and is the perfect escape. Enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner whenever you please, sit in a spa bath filled with mountain spring water listening only to the sounds of nature, laze on the day bed with a good book or gaze into the fire with a glass of port.

Beautiful Gardens – Stroll Wollumbin’s extensive walking tracks, take a picnic down to our lake, go wildlife spotting along the creek or wander through the fruit tree orchard or timber plantation.

Stunning Local Area – If you’re ready to explore, take a look around the nearby towns. The Tweed Valley, NSW is home to many beautiful country towns, most with great cafes, restaurants and pubs, markets, craft shops and art galleries. Go horse-riding or trek along a bush trail through the world heritage listed Wollumbin National Park or consider whale watching from June to November. There are many lovely beaches nearby including world renown Byron Bay (approx. 40 mins), Kingscliff; Fingal Heads (approx. 25 mins), Chinderah, Cabarita, Hastings Point & Pottsville (approx. 20 mins).

Pet Friendly – Wollumbin offer dog friendly accommodation options for you and your fur baby. They offer lodge accommodation with a fully fenced yard and dogs are welcome to be walked along the tracks or play in the creek at the bottom of the property. There is also a wonderful leash-free dog friendly beach 20 minutes from the property.

Food & Drink

Each lodge will be supplied with fresh bread, milk, butter, sugar, coffee, tea and herbal tea and port. The retreat offers optional extra dining options for breakfast and dinner menu, as well as a Mavis’s Kitchen in-room dining menu. Guests can also add a bottle of wine (red, white or sparkling) to their booking.
