Good For Programmes & Offerings Himalayan Meditation, balance the mind as you learn the 800 year-old practice of Himalayan Meditation that will help you rediscover your connection to your innermost self (we call it the Soul.) Hatha Yoga, bring vitality and health to the body through a flowing, comprehensive sequence of movement that awakens the body and mind each day and remove obstruction to enable seated meditation to occur without effort. Sequences shared from the Shadow Yoga school which is tied to the Nath Sampradaya (lineage) of Nepal. Sound Meditation, receive a deep system reset from our immersive and divine soundscape, weaving mantra, Nepalese healing bowls, gong, shamanic drum and other gentle, relaxing instruments. Soul Art, uncover your inner child and explore your creative, playful self as we guide you in meditation and artistic creation. Mountain Yoga, reconnect to the ancient source of all yogic wisdom, nature! Be guided with a mindfulness practice based on the indigenous practices of the Gurung people of the mountains in Nepal and find deeper connection between mind, body, nature and self. Traditional Fire Ceremony (Chitta Shuddi Yagya), participate in an ancient ritual, 5,000 + years old and connect to the roots of humanity. This is a powerful practice that can help you cut attachments and set positive, powerful intentions for change. Retreat Hosts: Kailash Ashram is a boutique, family owned and run facility run by David and Rajni Wegman. We operate as a not-for-profit social enterprise with the aim to disseminate meditation and yoga for the benefit of humanity. Facilities Practice in our stunning Yogashala set in a traditional Mongolian Yurt with hardwood floors, wood fire and aircon so that you will be comfortable year round. Explore our 50 acres of pristine Grampians bushland where kangaroos sit at our doorstep, emu’s bob and wildflowers and natives are in full bloom. Cool off as you swim in our private lake, nestled underneath the sandstone mountains. Take shade and rest under 700 year old gum trees and let mother nature truly take care of you. Food & Drink Nourish yourself with vegetarian whole foods meals that are designed to support the activities of meditation and yoga, and are prepared with seasonable produce from the garden (where possible.) Enjoy an energy rich and tasty diet that will help you focus your energies on the inner practices, prepared and made with love. Help yourself to a selection of teas and coffee, fruit, nuts and dried fruit to keep the fire burning between meals. Accommodation Ground yourself in our hand pressed mud brick lodge in our comfortable accommodation with supportive, comfy beds. Restrained in distraction, our cosy lodge features skylights, plush couches, enormous fireplace and plenty of nooks and nests for you to snuggle up and read a book between programmed activities, or larger spaces to connect, share and laugh in conversation with your other retreat guests.
