Facilities
The Krishna Village sits at the bottom of the farm alongside the Oxley river. Common areas are largely located in the heart of the village and are accessible to all guests. These include a large communal kitchen, dining & campfire area, a cosy study room with WiFi access and the newly renovated yoga hall facility, where the retreat gathers for classes and which provides a space for private practice of all kinds.
Food & Drink
A delicious and nutritious vegetarian menu is offered for 3 meals a day. Krishna Eco village grow their own organic vegetables and buy the freshest local produce where necessary. All food is prasadam ‘sacred food’ prepared in a consciousness of loving service.
The retreat provides breakfast and lunch with some vegan and gluten free options and are happy to talk with you about you specific dietary requirements, however they cannot guarantee they will be able to cater to individual needs. The Krishna Village has a large communal kitchen available for all guest and volunteers to use during their stay.
Accommodation
A range of accommodation options are spread out over the property of ‘New Govardhana’, from creatively renovated container rooms in the village proper to private pine cabins set in the hills overlooking the valley. These include the Lotus Pod Apartments, the Village Containers, a large campground and powered vehicle sites and two dormitories. Most of the accommodation in the village is serviced by shared amenities, with communal bathrooms providing shower, toilet and laundry facilities. Up the hill, there are also cabins and additional guest house rooms.

The Village itself is situated on the ‘New Govardhana Farm’, roughly halfway between Byron Bay and the Gold Coast, and about 30 minutes inland. The closest town is Murwillumbah, where several bus services stop on their way through the region.
