Located in the beautiful, healing Wentworth Falls area of the Blue Mountains, Happy Buddha is more than just a yoga retreat – it is a unique place where in just a short 2 or 3 days you can enjoy time away to fill your own cup. The stunning yoga retreat centre is immersed in sacred bushland with a spectacular waterfall only 15min walk away.
The retreat offers a selection of retreat programs including Inner Joy, Women’s Re-Wilding, Rhythmic Meditation, Intuitive Wellbeing or Journey Into Stillness. Each program has a different focus but all have the common thread that they will open your mind with inspiring workshops, allow you to stretch out with yoga and connect with a soulful, heartfelt retreat community. Happy Buddha provides the change to recharge your physical, emotional and spiritual batteries and you’ll leave feeling more grounded and connected back to who you are and what you want from this amazing life. Happy Buddha offer the following retreats:
Inner Joy – The signature program at Happy Buddha Retreats. Offered three times every week, and commencing every Monday, Wednesday or Friday this program has been especially created to tap into joy, contentment and self-acceptance.
Journey into Stillness – This 2-Night silent meditation retreat will kick start your new normal where you live everyday aware, connected and energised.
Women’s Re-Wilding – A truly magical and empowering 2-night retreat to return to our original feminine nature. This special women’s only retreat is uniquely designed to help you un-tap your true inner nature.
Rhythmic Meditation – Through rhythm, music and mindfulness, explore a different and accessible form of meditation in this amazing weekend program.
Long Weekends – Dive whole-heartedly into an extended 3-night Inner Joy retreat program of yoga, drumming, guided meditation, and nature connection.
Facilities
The Happy Buddha retreat is chalet style retreat and communal house with a relaxed ‘boho’ style. Along with two levels of rooms, the centre includes a ‘hidden’ yoga space, quiet zen den, communal dining area, foyer lounge, outdoor patio with tables and swimming pool, The cosy communal house (for the intimate Women’s retreat and Silent Meditation retreat) also has an eclectic vibe with a ‘dream’ studio, mediation space, communal areas and an outdoor workshop space.
Food & Drink
Without doubt, one of the highlights of a Happy Buddha Retreat is the food. Their specialty is vegetarian (and sometimes vegan) cuisine and all meals are prepared fresh onsite with seasonal ingredients and retreat grown herbs and vegetables. The food is fresh, filling and tasty plant powered with Asian, Middle-Eastern and Mediterranean flavours. Each meal is presented in banquet style with plenty of variety.
Vegans, those with allergies, and gluten free diets can easily be catered for. Happy Buddha do not serve any meats, eggs, cheese, milks, coffee or caffeinated tea, however local cafes are easily accessible for any coffee lovers.
Accommodation
Happy Buddha have set up their rooms with simplicity in mind; perfect for your nightly sleep or when you fancy an afternoon nap. If you’re participating in the Inner Joy program you’ll be in the retreat centre and rooms are twin-share with an ensuite bathroom. Rooms have ceiling fans for the warmer months and when the weather gets chilly, central heating will be at-the-ready. For retreat programs held in the communal house (Women’s Re-Wilding, Journey into Stillness, Intuitive Wellbeing) your room will be twin-share with communal shared bathroom amenities. Fans are provided for spring and summer and blankets for the cooler months.
