How to Maximise Holiday Leave in 2023
Psst… Are you in a Mon to Fri / 9-5 slug, just dreaming of your next holiday? Join the club and be savvy with your annual leave, by using just 19 days of annual leave, you could have 48 DAYS off! WHAT?! That’s three 10-day holidays and two 9-day holidays that you could living your best life! Share this around with your nearest and dearest, who you think needs that cheeky holiday! But SSH! Don’t tell your boss, let’s keep this a secret!
Starting with April this year: April brings the long Easter Weekend, if you book 4 days off before the 4-day easter holiday weekend, that means you would get a total of 10 days off!
April:

Now May absolutely SPOILS us with Public Holidays too! We have May Day on the 1st and new addition to the Public Holidays is the King Charles coronation happening on the 8th May. So, taking off another 4 days allows for another 10-day Holiday!

If you are lucky enough to live in Canberra, also known as the Australian Capital Territory; At the end of May, start of June, there is the Public Holiday on the Monday 29TH May, so go ahead a take 4-days off annual leave and voila, you’ve bagged yourself a 9 day holiday

Calling ALL New South “Waleans” and Northern “Territoriers”, Public holiday on Monday 7th August can give you a great excuse to escape the winter and get some sunshine with a 9-day holiday!
